On 3/23/23, Neighbors on Call hosted four members of the North Carolina General Assembly: Sen. Natalie Murdock (SD 20, Chatham/Durham) Rep. Marcia Morey (HD 30, Durham) Rep. Ray Jeffers (HD 2, Durham/Person) Rep. Brandon Lofton (HD 104, Mecklenburg) We asked them for an introduction to the workings of the NCGA. What are the biggest upcoming issues? How does a bill get passed? What's the best way to advocate for legislation? We hosted officials and guests at three locations in Durham, Chapel Hill, and Pittsboro in a multi-location, hybrid meeting.
